Professional Information:  Mark O'Briant is President of the Henry S. Miller Commercial Appraisal & Consulting Division.  O'Briant holds a B.S. in Agriculture Economics from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Agriculture in Land Economics and Real estate from same.

Professional History:  O'Briant uses his 13 years of experience and expertise in various markets to meet client needs.  Previously he was a consultant with Laventhol & Horwath in Dallas, the 7th largest U.S. accounting firm at the time.  Prior to that he was a staff appraiser with Noyd & O'Connell in Dallas.

To aid in his consultancy, O'Briant uses ARGUS, DYNA and PRO-JECT Plus, which are lease-by-lease analysis programs, as well as other advanced real estate software.  He excels in cash flow model analysis of industrial grade properties and complicated situations involving leased fee and leasehold estates.  These include in-depth analysis of income characteristics, as well as supply and demand conditions relative to a given market.

Past and present clients include government authorities, Wall Street-based firms, lenders, investors and pension funds, on a local and national basis.  He has performed real estate appraisals for numerous property types including manufacturing, distribution, industrial, retail buildings, garden style/high-rise apartments, nursing homes, motels, hotels and country clubs, downtown and suburban office buildings, condemnation and easements, mixed-use projects, vacant land, residential subdivisions and farm and ranches.
