Sam Kartalis is President, Chief Operating Officer of
Henry S. Miller Commercial. His education
includes a B.A. in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State
University, an MBA Candidate for the University of
Pittsburgh, Rutgers University and University of
Dallas. Kartalis also was a Lieutenant in the
U.S. Navy.

acquiring, disposing and managing over 10,000,000
square feet of commercial property during his career
and owning and operating full-service real estate
companies since 1974. Included responsibilities
were training, communications, new business, personal
production and general management.
Professional
History: Kartalis started his real estate career
with Henry S. Miller Company as Executive Vice
President, Director and Broker Manager in 1974.
In 1983 he co-founded Dunning Development Corporation
as President, specializing in the development and
renovation of strip centers and small office
buildings. In 1987 he joined Zane May Interests
as Managing Partner of Retail. Here he had a
retail portfolio consisting of 12 commercial projects
totaling 1.5 million square feet. In 1985,
Kartalis was Chairman, CEO and Co-Founder of First
Newport Companies emphasizing development, sales,
leasing and management of commercial projects.
While there he had approximately 164 projects totaling
9 million square feet. In 1991, he was in charge
of leasing, sales, development and property management
as Executive Vice President, Principal, of Capital
Realty Group. In 1992, Kartalis managed
operations of brokerage, appraisal, management and
asset management as Executive Vice President, CEO and
Principal of Newmarket Group Southwest. In 1994,
Kartalis rejoined Henry S. Miller Commercial as
President, COO and Principal.
