Vance
C. Miller is Chairman & CEO of the Henry
S. Miller Companies, which includes Henry S. Miller
Commercial, Vance C. Miller Interests and
Henry S. Miller Holdings Corporation. He joined the
company in 1959, after serving as a fighter pilot in
the U.S. Air Force, and began working in real estate
sales and property management. Miller became
Vice President of the company upon its incorporation
in 1960 and Senior Vice President in 1965,
establishing the Investment Properties Division and
the Henry S. Miller Realty Trust. In 1970,
Miller became President directing the company's rapid
growth from $81 million in volume in 1971 to over $2
billion by 1981, when the company became the largest
real estate brokerage firm in Texas and the 7th
largest in the nation. He has developed several million
square feet of real estate projects since 1970 and
has served on the Board of Directors of numerous
public companies and financial institutions. He
and his wife, Tincy Miller, Chairman of the Texas
State Board of Education, have been married 50 years
and are active in numerous civic and charitable
organizations. He
received a B.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist
University in Dallas in 1954.
