Henry S. Miller Commercial Hires New Construction Services Manager

DALLAS, TX - June 6, 2002--Sam G. Kartalis, president and chief operating officer of Henry S. Miller Commercial, announced that Davis H. Glass, AIA has been hired to head up the company’s Construction Services Division.  As Construction Services Manager, Glass is charged with growing the newly formed, year old division. Glass said that his objectives for the group are threefold: to build new projects and complete renovation for Henry S. Miller Companies, to serve Henry S. Miller Commercial associates by providing in-house construction and finish-out expertise, and to seek out construction projects from clients – offering tenant finish-out, consulting and other construction services.  “This division was founded to provide our clients more convenient and competitive tenant finish construction services,” said Glass.  “ By adding this full-range of client services, we’re meeting industry needs for immediate response and one stop convenience.”   Glass, formerly the Construction Manager for Prentiss Properties since 1997, has more than 20 years of commercial real estate and architectural experience.  He has managed large-scale projects such as the Micrografx Corporate Headquarters, the Lakeview Center, the IBM Call Center in Coppell, and the Westpoint (Verizon’s headquarters).   Glass was also involved in the program management for the Dart Light Rail Starter System.  Sam Kartalis said that Glass has the experience mix that the company had been looking for.  “Davis Glass has extensive construction services experience in satisfying customers and that’s an area we currently want to zero in on,” Kartalis said. “He’s a talented and highly seasoned commercial real estate professional.”

Henry S. Miller Commercial, founded in 1914, is Texas’ largest independent commercial real estate firm and a member of The Commercial Network, one of the largest affiliations of commercial real estate firms in the nation.
